Free whisky printables

Tasting sheets, a flavour map, a label decoder, a distillery visit log, and two flight mats (four glasses and six). Print them for the moments a phone is no use: hands wet at the still house, a glass in front of you, a shelf of bottles you need to compare in twenty seconds.

Direct A4 PDF. No email required.

Tasting sheet

What it is for: record what is in the glass, including how you served it.

Print it when you are actually tasting, at home or at a festival. The web page is enough if you only want to read about how to taste.

On the sheet: The bottle's identity, from distillery to cask. How you served it, from glass to water to ice. Space for nose, palate, finish, and a score out of 100.

Flavour map

What it is for: give you the words when you freeze.

Print it and keep it by the glass. The web page is enough to read the method once.

On the sheet: Flavour families from cereal to peaty. A six-step how-to-taste on the reverse. A note that colour is not age.

Label decoder

What it is for: read a bottle label in twenty seconds and compare this bottle against that one.

Print it and keep it in a pocket or bag for the shop. The web page is enough to learn the terms once.

On the sheet: The order to read a label. Four plain-word definitions: NAS, NCF, natural colour, cask strength. The red flags worth walking away from.

Distillery visit log

What it is for: record the hour you paid for, not your booking email.

Print it before you go. The web page is enough to plan the trip.

On the sheet: What to note before the tour. Questions worth asking in the still house. Four tasting slots and a page for what you would skip next time.

Flight mat (4 glasses)

What it is for: line up four glasses and compare them side by side.

Print it for a small tasting at home. The web page is enough to read the order of tasting.

On the sheet: A column per glass, from name to finish. A host strip for the order of tasting. A verdict line for each pour.

Flight mat (6 glasses)

What it is for: line up six glasses when the tasting is bigger.

Print it for a club night or a longer flight. Same job as the four-glass mat, more columns.

On the sheet: Six glasses, same notes per pour, host strip, verdict line.
