────────────────────────────── KILCHOMAN'S CASK NO.1 RAISES £20K FOR ISLAY Kilchoman Distillery auctioned the very first cask ever filled at the distillery (14 December 2005) to mark its 20th anniversary. The bottle went to Henrik Mork from Oslo, Norway, chosen at random from thousands of tickets sold. The £20,000 proceeds support Islay charities including the RNLI and Islay & Jura Sick Children's Fund. Murray's Take: That's how you celebrate a milestone—give back to the community that got you here. ──────────────────────────────
THE DALMORE 17 YEAR OLD Bottled in time for Mother's Day (15 March), The Dalmore's new 17-year-old has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem sherry casks from González Byass. Expect Seville orange, poached pears, sweet toffee, and a dark chocolate orange finish. £175, personalised engraving available. ──────────────────────────────
LONDON'S FIRST 10-YEAR-OLD IS HERE The London Distillery Company released "Ten Times Around the Sun"—London's first 10-year-old single malt. Bottled at 51.4% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural colour, using Quench Spring barley in ex-bourbon casks. Only 220 bottles. Notes of peach and mango on the nose, syrupy preserved fruits and lingering complexity. Murray's Take: A proper London malt that doesn't feel like a gimmick—quietly impressive. ──────────────────────────────
TOMATIN RIDES THE LUNAR NEW YEAR Tomatin's Year of the Horse release marks another Lunar New Year special: 817 individually numbered bottles at £95 each. This is a 2011 single cask from a first-fill Pedro Ximénez butt, bottled at 56.5% ABV. Honeycomb and candy floss sweetness, candied almonds, toffee apples, and a long spicy finish. Murray's Take: £95 for a 2011 cask-strength single malt is a fair price in 2026—Tomatin gets the balance right. ──────────────────────────────
EDRADOUR'S 200 YEARS IN ONE BOTTLE Edradour marked two centuries of distilling with a new house edition bottled at 46% ABV, a 10-year-old matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. No gimmicks, just the distillery honouring what 200 years of consistency looks like. Murray's Take: Distillery anniversaries are often marketing noise. This one tastes like respect. ──────────────────────────────
