Mint Julep

Ingredients

• ["50ml light Speyside Scotch whisky"
• "15ml rich simple syrup"
• "8-10 fresh mint leaves"
• "Crushed ice"]

Method

1. 1Add simple syrup to a julep cup. Add mint leaves and gently muddle to release oils. Fill halfway with crushed ice, pour in Scotch, and stir until frosted. Mound more crushed ice on top. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig; serve with a straw.
